Dr. Lindsay Sussman grew up in Vermont and as a kid, always loved animals and dreamed of becoming a veterinarian one day. After graduating from Colgate University, she moved to Boston and worked as a research technician at Massachusetts General Hospital. On her weekends, she volunteered at the Boston Animal Rescue League and it was there, working with the animals and alongside the shelter veterinarians, that she decided to pursue her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian. She attended the Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with honors in 2010. She then completed an extra year of training in an internship program at an emergency and specialty clinic in San Francisco. Afterwards, she practiced as a general practitioner in Atlanta, Georgia before moving back to Massachusetts to be closer to family and friends. She joined Putnam Veterinary Clinic in 2021 and feels so lucky to be part of such a supportive and caring team. As a general practitioner, Dr. Sussman enjoys getting to know families and their pets and supporting them throughout their life stages. She has a special interest in geriatric care, dermatology and dentistry.  Dr. Sussman lives with her husband and their 3 daughters, as well as their dog (Bear), cat (Junebug) and 6 chickens- Willow, Puffy, Pumpkin, Pip, Pan, and Prairie. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family, hike, x-country ski, kayak, and run on the local trails with Bear.
